Friska Viljor

Friska Viljor is a Swedish band that is associated with the genre of indie rock.

History

Founder of the band are Daniel Johansson and Joakim Sveningsson who landed during a tour of the Stockholm nightlife in a recording studio. The outcome is the debut album Bravo!. The first single, titled Gold reached number 11 on the charts in their home country of the band. It was followed by the album Tour de Hearts.

The album was recorded in three weeks. Singer Joakim Sveningsson described it as: " Kids with adult texts " The instrumentation were added quirky components like broken guitars, horns, glockenspiel or falsetto choruses. These use Friska Viljor to make their own mix from folk to electro.

In summer 2007 festival appearances followed as in Immergut in Neustrelitz, at Haldern Pop Festival or in orchards. In May 2008, then the first own club tour followed.

In summer 2009, the band toured even without their new album For new Beginnings by Germany and stepped on, among others, on the Appletree Garden Festival and the Festival Rocken am Brocken. In the autumn was followed by a tour on the new album was presented.

On 25 March 2011 the album " The Beginning of the Beginning of the End " on Haldern Pop Recordings was released.

On January 18, 2013, the album " Remember Our Name" Crying Bob has been published. The album reached number 73 of the Media Control Charts in Germany. Preliminary appeared the single " Bite your head off." The band went in February 2013 on a European tour. In the summer of 2013 Friska Viljor occurred among others at the Hurricane Festival, in the fall of 2013, they played another club tour through Germany.
