Fritz Achterberg

Fritz Karl Walther Achterberg ( born November 2, 1880 in Berlin, † October 12, 1971 in Weimar ) was a German theater and silent film actor.

Life

Fritz Achterberg was discovered by Paul Pauli for the stage and made his debut in 1898 at the Belle- Alliance Theatre in Berlin in the role of aides in Christian Dietrich Grabbe Napoleon or the one hundred days. In addition to Pauli Conrad L' Allemand was one of eight mountain teachers. After a further stage stations, he returned via Hamburg in 1910 returned to Berlin and played among others at Schiller Theater, Little Theater and Lessingtheater.

In 1912, he began a career as a silent film actor. Achterberg initially embodied youthful hero, in the 1920s, however, most noble, gallant men. In 1923 he retired from the film and was then four years at the Theater Braunschweig active. From 1932 to 1944 he belonged in the subject character Held at the Theatre. In Weimar, he spent the war years of his life.
