Fritz Bauer (rower)

Fritz Bauer ( born June 23, 1906 in Breslau, † September 19, 1992 in Mannheim, Germany ) was a German coxswain in rowing, the 1936 Olympic champion.

Bauer went to the Mannheim rowing club Amicitia, only in the 1938 season, he started for the RV Wratislavia Wroclaw. His first national title won in 1928 as a farmer mate of the Mannheim rowing eight, 1929, 1930 and 1931, he won another title with the eighth. 1929, 1930, 1936 and 1947, he won the German championship with the Mannheim four with coxswain, 1938, he drove the Breslauer four of the German championship, this boat also won the title at the European Championships 1938 in Milan.

Farmer took part in three Olympic Games: 1928 in Amsterdam, he retired with the aft of the third round, as only two boats reached the final, the standings from the results of previous races were detected, the German Roller is listed as fifth. 1932 in Los Angeles reached the final four eights, the German eight different than second- placed boat of the second run of hope, the placement also corresponds to a fifth place.
