Fritz Baumann
Fritz Baumann ( May 3, 1886 in Basel, † October 9, 1942 ) was a Swiss painter.
Fritz Baumann was born on May 3, 1886 in Basel, where he later graduated from a painting apprenticeship. He was in different styles at home, the most attention but find his expressionist works. Most of his works from the years 1916-1920, the artist destroyed in a depressive phase by throwing them into the Rhine. Even later, Baumann has been repeatedly plagued by depression. On 9 October 1942, he took his own life.
Baumann was co-founder of the Basel group of artists New Life.
Baumann joined his life a close friendship with two other Swiss painters, Arnold Brügger and Otto Morach.
