Fritz Bohla

Fritz Bohla ( born January 11, 1948 in Krostitz ) is a former German football player and football coach. For Energie Cottbus and 1.FC Union Berlin he played in the highest GDR football class, the top league. As a coach, he led Energie Cottbus also in the GDR Oberliga.

Sports career

Soccer player

Bohla began his sporting career as a ten -year-old football player at Tractor Krostitz, the Sports Association (SPA ) of the agricultural cooperative ( LPG) in his hometown north of Leipzig, and Krostitz. As a 16 - year-old he was in 1964 delegated to SC Leipzig, where he first played in the junior team. In January 1966 he was transferred to the company spun off from the sports club 1.FC Leipzig and locomotive used in the premier league reserve team. In the 1967/68 season he was elected team captain.

In the summer of 1968 Bohla moved to BSG Energie Cottbus, where he played in the second-rate DDR -Liga. Between 1971 and 1974 he was a soldier of the "National People's Army " of the GDR and played at this time for the DDR -division club forward Cottbus football. Then Bohla returned to Energie Cottbus and reached after the season 1974/75 promotion to the Oberliga. Football coach

Bohla initially remained at the 1 FC Union and was assistant coach of the league team. In 1980 he left Berlin and took over for the season 1980/81 the training of the third-class district division Robur Zittau, he for one year resulted in the DDR -Liga in 1981. Between 1983 and 1984 held Bohla the function of the district coach in soccer District Technical Committee Cottbus. In October 1984 Bohla who had the qualifications of a qualified sports teacher, was appointed to the post of the head coach at Energie Cottbus.
