Fritz Bohla
Fritz Bohla ( born January 11, 1948 in Krostitz ) is a former German football player and football coach. For Energie Cottbus and 1.FC Union Berlin he played in the highest GDR football class, the top league. As a coach, he led Energie Cottbus also in the GDR Oberliga.
Sports career
Soccer player
Bohla began his sporting career as a ten -year-old football player at Tractor Krostitz, the Sports Association (SPA ) of the agricultural cooperative ( LPG) in his hometown north of Leipzig, and Krostitz. As a 16 - year-old he was in 1964 delegated to SC Leipzig, where he first played in the junior team. In January 1966 he was transferred to the company spun off from the sports club 1.FC Leipzig and locomotive used in the premier league reserve team. In the 1967/68 season he was elected team captain.
In the summer of 1968 Bohla moved to BSG Energie Cottbus, where he played in the second-rate DDR -Liga. Between 1971 and 1974 he was a soldier of the "National People's Army " of the GDR and played at this time for the DDR -division club forward Cottbus football. Then Bohla returned to Energie Cottbus and reached after the season 1974/75 promotion to the Oberliga. With 28 missions in the total discharged 22 points and eight games ascent he had contributed significantly to this success. In the premier league 1975/76 season he played as a sweeper every 26 point games, but could not prevent that energy after only one season had to go back far behind.
To be able to continue playing in the big leagues, to Bohla closed in July 1976 at the Oberliga Up 1 FC Union Berlin. There he took over first Gameday again the position of the libero and graduated again all point games and three cup matches at Unioner. Due to persistent knee problems that could not be corrected by surgery, had to finish in the course of 1978 his career as a football player without being used again in the top league of the 30 -year-old Bohla.
Football coach
Bohla initially remained at the 1 FC Union and was assistant coach of the league team. In 1980 he left Berlin and took over for the season 1980/81 the training of the third-class district division Robur Zittau, he for one year resulted in the DDR -Liga in 1981. Between 1983 and 1984 held Bohla the function of the district coach in soccer District Technical Committee Cottbus. In October 1984 Bohla who had the qualifications of a qualified sports teacher, was appointed to the post of the head coach at Energie Cottbus. The Cottbus still play in the DDR -Liga, Bohla succeeded but, the team again in 1986 to lead the league. Although increased energy after one year from again, but managed under Bohla its chances of promotion, and succeeded Bohla to hold Cottbus in the following seasons in the league. Only when energy with only three wins from eleven games completed a disappointing start to the season in the fall of 1990 and the players rebelled against the coach, Bohla was dismissed.
In the 1991/92 season Bohla took over the third division Tennis Borussia Berlin, with whom he reached the 4th place in the Oberliga Berlin. Then he was not working for several years in the higher-class football, until January 1997, he took over Wacker Nordhausen again a third division side, but he could not save 1998 from relegation. His last position was as a football coach in season 1998/99 the Lok Altmark Stendal league club, with which he reached at the end of the season ranked 12 among 18 teams. After that Bohla turned from football from, returned again to Cottbus and was until 2006 Manager of the Lusatian Handball Club.
