Fritz Deike

Fritz Deike (* June 24, 1913 in Vienenburg / resin; † October 21, 1973 in Hannover ) was a German national football team.

Life

Fritz Deike came early for football, but played in the youth as well as later first with Vienenburg in 1916 and 1931 at Hannover 96 at different positions. He began his career with Hannover 96 in the gate. Very soon, but his talent was discovered as a fielder. In its common position as a center half he not only organized the defensive midfield at Hannover 96, but was also the former empire coach Otto Mink on which Germany appointed him for the 'A' game on August 25, 1935 against Romania in Erfurt ( 4:2 ). Deike denied in 1934-1937, three auditions for the North German Football Association.

Fritz Deike belonged in 1938 as his brother Ernst in the group of regular players of Hannover 96 and was awarded the Association of German champions. In the two finals against Schalke 04 ( 3:3 and 4:3 after extra time in the replay ) but he could only watch because of a severe meniscus injury and was represented by his brother Ernst. He came 19 times in the finals of the German Championship for Hanover used. During World War II Deike played several times for military teams. Even after the war Deike held his 96ern loyalty and pulled for the club on many more occasions football boots. Until 1948, he played for Hannover. He ended his career as player-coach of SV Limmer 10, 1954, in the second German Championship of Hannover 96, Deike acted as honorary supervisor of the team and as a representative for the coach Helmut Kronsbein.

From the obituary of the Hanover General: "He was as a center half as hard as iron, but always fair footballer - as a person of the deceased may be described as a fine mate."
