Fritz Rehn

Fritz Rehn ( born August 3, 1874September 18, 1934 ) was the first President of the People's Court.

In 1901 he was appointed court assessor. In 1905 he was Judge in Bochum. In the same capacity he was transferred to the district court of Koblenz 1913. In 1920 he was Provincial Court Director and put into this property to Berlin to the former Regional Court I. In 1933 he was elected chairman of the newly-appointed Special Court at District Court of Appeals Berlin. Beginning in July 1934, he was appointed to the Senate President at Superior Court. With the opening of the People's Court on 1 July 1934 he was appointed president of the court and took over also the chairperson of the First Senate of this Court. A few weeks after his appointment, he died of a bilious complaints.
