Fritz von Thurn und Taxis

Fritz von Thurn und Taxis, actually Friedrich Thurn and Taxis ( born June 22, 1950 in Linz, all name Friedrich Leonhard Ignatius Joseph Maria Lamoraal Balthasar ), is an Austrian journalist. He is best known as a longtime sports presenter on Bavarian television. Since 1993 he has football commentator of the pay -TV channel Sky.

Life

His journalistic career began in 1971 with the Bavarian Radio. Here was von Thurn und Taxis worked as a sports reporter and commentator in both the television and the radio program and was used in several Olympic Games, football, skiing and ice hockey world championships for use.

For his many years of reporting on the Ice Hockey World Championships him the international Ice Hockey Federation awarded the golden medal IIHF. Origin and family

The journalist comes from the Bohemian line of the former Princely House of Thurn und Taxis as a son of Johann Thurn and Taxis (1908-1959) and his wife Maria Julia (1919-2008, ∞ 1939 in Prague ), born Lobkowicz.

Thurn and Taxis has been married since 1977.
