Frontiers (publisher)
The Frontiers Journal Series is a collection of scholarly open -access journals, which is published by the Frontiers Research Foundation, a non -profit organization based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is based on the U.S. Public Library of Science ( PLoS ), which brought out their first release in 2003.
The publications are in the digital PubMed Central ( PMC) archive of the National Institutes of Health ( NIH ) and deposited with Google Scholar.
The Frontiers Journal Series is comprised of mainly neuroscience topics. As a two-stage system consists of a number of specialized journals that are published only on the Internet and the corresponding thereto parent journals that are also available as a print version available. So far the following parent journals have been published:
