Fryderyk
The Fryderyk is the most important Polish music price. It is awarded annually by the Phonographic Academy and reflects substantial parts of the Polish cultural life in the previous year resist. For the first time the prize was awarded in 1995 ( for 1994 ). The ceremony will take place in a variety of categories, including intra- Polish " Song of the Year ", " Album of the Year ", " Singer of the Year ", " Singer of the Year ", " Band of the Year " and " Debut of the Year ". The vote takes place in two rounds. After a first round of voting in the Music Academy of five proposals will be nominated in each category usually. In the second round true of each of the approximately 700 members each for a proposal. The prizes will be awarded between March and May of each year.
This award is named after Frederic Chopin, whose Polish Fryderyk is written first name.
