Lakes chain of three lakes

The Fryken or Fryken Lake is a lake in Värmland in Sweden. The narrow, elongated lake extends in a north-south direction and consists of three interconnected lakes: the Upper Fryken, the Middle and the Lower Fryken Fryken. The Upper and Middle Fryken are joined by a sound, which gave the place the name of Sunne. The Middle and Lower Fryken are connected by the Nilsbysund.

Upper Fryken

Middle Fryken

S / S Freja af Fryken

The S / S Freja af Fryken is a traffic an up-to Fryken steamboat. The ship was 1868, the third of three identical vessels originally built for the Ölandverkehr and used under the name Kalmar No. 3. 1887 the ship was sold to the owner Nils Persson Lysvik and used in the sequence on the track Fryksta - Torsby on the Fryken. Fryksdalsbanan

Between Kil and Torsby runs - for long stretches on the lake shore - the railway line Kil - Torsby (Swedish: Frykdalsbanan or Fryksdalsbanan ), which is considered one of the most beautiful railway lines in Sweden.
