FSF Free Software Awards

The FSF Award for the Advancement of Free Software is a since 1998 by the Free Software Foundation ( FSF) award granted to persons who have rendered outstanding services to the development of free software.

The award of the year 1999, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, which is the year 2000 at the Musée d' art et d' histoire du Judaïsme in Paris and awarded the years 2001 to 2004 at FOSDEM in Brussels. Since then, the ceremony will take place during the annual meeting of the FSF members in the United States.
