Fuad II of Egypt

Fu'ad II ( born January 16, 1952 in Cairo, Arab الملك أحمد فؤاد الثاني al -Malik Ahmad Fu'ad ath - thani, DMG al -Malik Aḥmad Fu ʾ AD AT- Tani, often transcribed as Fuad ) was formally established by July 26, 1952 until June 18, 1953 King of Egypt.

Because of increasing corruption and mismanagement his father Faruq was overthrown by a military coup led by Ali Muhammad Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser on 23 July 1952. Farouk was forced to abdicate in favor of his then six- month-old son Fu'ad and went into exile in Italy. A year later, the Republic was proclaimed on 18 June 1953 in Egypt. Fu'ad was sent to his family into exile and grew up in France.

In 1976 he married Dominique -France Loeb Picard. He has three children.
