Fuderheuberg

From Lattengebirge from the center of Hochstaufen, the wooded ridge to the right of the Fuderheuberg. In the foreground the town of Bad Reichenhall

The Fuderheuberg is located north of Bad Reichenhall and is part of the massif of Staufen.

He is also called the front baptisms. The summit cross stands on the Fuderheustein (some cards also referred to as Fuderheustern ), a 1321 m high rock structure. The highest point at 1350 m is the direction Hochstaufen and is due to the forest cover for a summit cross ill-suited. From the continuous forest cover and the shape of the hill Fuderheuberg takes its name: it looks like a load of hay ( truckload of hay).

Marked paths lead from Piding ( Staufen bridge or Mauthausen / Castle Staufeneck ) and Bad Reichenhall ( Padinger Alm ) to the summit. About the Stone hunters a transition to Hochstaufen is possible. In the north, about 200 vertical meters below the summit is the unstaffed Pidinger hut.
