Fueled by Ramen

Fueled by Ramen is an independent label that was founded in 1996 in Gainesville ( Florida) by John Janick and Vinnie Fiorello.

History

The label was founded in 1996 when Vinnie Fiorello, drummer of the band Less Than Jake, and John Janick to Gainesville (Florida ) moved from school grounds. Just one year earlier, both learned during an appearance by Less Than Jake know. They came to the conclusion their talents in music and contacts of other bands to leaven in Fueled by Ramen. Officially, you can set the foundation to August 1996, when the first sampler was released.

The name of the label can be attributed to the then taste the two entrepreneurs. Fueled By Ramen is freely translated:

Ramen is a type of Japanese noodles, and noodle soup.

In 2004 the label moved to Tampa ( Florida). It now has 15 employees.

Since the establishment were over 90 different albums, published, among others, Fall Out Boy or Paramore.

The end of 2006 Vinnie Fiorello had opted out of Fueled by Ramen, since he was no longer agree with the musical development of the label.
