Fugees

The Fugees was a group formed in 1988 American hip- hop group, which consisted of three members: Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and Pras Michel. In the 1990s it was one of the most popular hip-hop groups.

They released the album Blunted on Reality, after she stood on the stage at a relatively long time, but the album failed to meet the expectations of their audience. Despite the failure of the first album The Score was one of the biggest selling albums in 1996 and was one of the first rap albums with obvious reggae influences. But the fact is that Hill 1997, the first time was pregnant and decided for pregnancy and first against the continuation of the career. They sang of the situation at that time later in her song Zion ( published in 1998 on her solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill ):

In an MTV interview, she expressed Masters years later, she had at that time " in an unhealthy direction moves " and Zion ( her first child and thus probably the main reason for the separation) was her " rescue. Success is over, but my family loves me even next and the year after next. "

Regardless, she started (just like Michel and Jean) a successful solo career.
