Fuhlendorf, Schleswig-Holstein
Fuhlendorf is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.
Geography and transport
Fuhlendorf is located about three kilometers north of Bad Bramstedt and 13 km south of Neumünster in a rural environment. To the east runs the Federal Highway 7 from Hamburg to Flensburg.
History
1189 a branch of the Cistercian monastery was founded in Reinbek Fuhlendorf.
1938 to 1959 the city was a part of the community Wiemersdorf.
Since 1963 there is the squadron Fuhlendorf, one of the five sites of the Federal Police Squadron for police helicopters. From here, federal police missions are launched, including but not limited border security operations at sea, rail safety, environmental protection and search and rescue.
Policy
Since the local elections of 2008, the voters Community KWV has all nine seats in the municipal council.
