Fuji Television

Fuji Television (Japaneseフジテレ ビジョン, Fuji Terebijon ) is a Japanese television station in Tokyo and is currently (2005 ) the market leader in the ratings among the seven statewide full programs in Japan.

In the Kanto region, Fuji TV is broadcast on channel 8. By sending Trivia no Izumi and other variety shows Fuji TV in 2004 conquered the leadership of long-time leader Nihon TV.

Fuji TV began broadcasting operation in 1959. The station moved in 1997 from its old headquarters in Shinjuku into a new main building in the then newly heaped beach Odaiba. The 1994 Kenzo Tange -designed building is one of the architectural landmarks of Tokyo and an eye-catcher of the many Odaiba visitors. The striking ball that acts like a slumped into the building UFO, is open to visitors; Exhibitions are held here.

Furthermore, Fuji TV sponsor once a year to be held in Japan Formula 1 race Grand Prix of Japan.
