Fujiwara no Kaneie

Fujiwara no Kaneie (Japanese藤原 兼 家; * 929, † 31 July 990 ), was the third son of Fujiwara no Morosuke, from the influential Fujiwara family, a Kuge ( Hofadeliger ) was the Heian period.

From 986-990 he reigned as Sesshō and from 5 to 8 Soon ( lunar calendar) 990 as Kampaku for Kaiser Ichijō throughout Japan.

His first wife Fujiwara no Tokihime bore him sons Michitaka, Michikane, Michinaga and daughters Chushi and Senshi. The sons were also later regent ( Kampaku and Sesshō ) Chushi wife of Emperor Reizei and mother of Emperor Sanjō, Senshi wife of Emperor En'yū and mother of Emperor Ichijō.

His second wife was Fujiwara no Michitsuna no Haha (Mother of Fujiwara no Michitsuna ) was an important author. He also had other women.
