Fujiwara no Saneyori

Fujiwara no Saneyori (Japanese藤原 实 頼; * 900, † 970) was the successor of his father's reign ( Kampaku ) for the insane Japanese Emperor Reizei and minor En'yū.

Journey

Fujiwara no Saneyori was the eldest son Tadahiras and is also known as Ono- miya -dono. A certain amount of fame he achieved as a poet, particularly for his waka poems are collected in the Seishinkō shū (清 慎 公 集). In the year 960, he was appointed as a judge in a poetry competition from Tennō. His memoir in diary form have the title Seishin -kō -ki.

After he had served ( " the right hand of Chancellor " ) since 944 Udaijin, he rose to 947 on Sadaijin ( " Registrar to the left "). In the year 967 he was, as his father's successor, Regent for the insane Japanese Emperor Reizei. The following year, he was then dajo - daijin ( Grand Chancellor ). As Reizei renounced the throne, he was Regent ( sesshō ) - an office which included the full sacerdotium the Tennō - for the minor En'yū.

Two of his daughters could Saneyori marry emperors: Jusshi (述 子) married Murakami ( r. 946-67 ); Keishi (庆 子) was the wife of the Go- Suzaku ( r. 1036-45 ).
