Fujiwara no Tadazane

Fujiwara no Tadazane (Japanese藤原 忠 実, * 1078, † 1162 ) was a Japanese regent of the early 12th century from the influential family of the Fujiwara.

He acted von 1105 - 1121 as regent ( Sesshō or Kampaku ) for three Japanese emperor:

He was the grandson of Fujiwara no Morozane. He built a villa in 1114, Fukedono, north of the Byodo-in Temple.

His eldest son Fujiwara no Tadamichi was his successor as Regent and one of the main actors in the Hōgen rebellion of 1156th to his much younger brother Fujiwara no Yorinaga this had a very strained relationship.
