The University Fukuoka (Japanese福冈 大学, Fukuoka daigaku ) is a private university in Japan. It is located in Jonan -ku, Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture.

History

Founded in 1934 by the University Umetaro Mizoguchi, a professor at the Seinan Gakuin than commercial college Fukuoka (福冈 高等 商业 学校, Fukuoka Kōtō shōgyō Gakko ). She was on the island of Kyushu, the fifth oldest trade college to Nagasaki (1905 ), Oita ( 1921), Seinan Gakuin (1921) and Kagoshima ( 1932). It was in 1944 with the College of Kyushu ( in Tobata ) for business school Kyūshū (九州 経 済 専 门 学校, Kyushu keizai Semmon Gakko ) merged. In 1946 she was renamed the business school Fukuoka.

In 1949 the business school with the foreign Scientific Management School Fukuoka University Fukuoka to trade (福冈 商科 大学, Fukuoka Shōka daigaku ) was merged. It was opened only with the commercial faculty. In 1956, she added the Faculty of Law and Economics, and changed its name to University of Fukuoka. Over the years, she founded more faculties: Pharmacy ( 1960), engineering ( 1962), Arts and Humanities ( 1969), Sports Science (1969 ), Natural Sciences ( 1970), and Medicine ( 1972). Since 1965, Master's programs are offered, and since 1967 doctoral courses.
