Fuller Albright

Fuller Albright ( born January 12, 1900 in Buffalo, † December 8, 1969 in Boston ) was an American endocrinologist who worked on metabolic diseases.

Life

Albright studied medicine at Harvard. In 1924 he completed his studies. He then worked at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and in Vienna. From 1942 to 1961 he worked as an associate professor at Harvard again, including with Harry F. Klinefelter.

Work

According to him, inter alia, the following diseases are named:

  • Albright syndrome (also McCune -Albright syndrome)
  • Albright - Butler Bloomberg Syndrome
  • Albright hereditary osteodystrophy

Awards

Albright was a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (1941 ), the National Academy of Sciences of the United States (1952) and the French Académie nationale de Médecine ( 1960).
