Fultograph

The Fultograph was a simple, driven by clockwork receiver of still images, similar to an early fax machine. The image signal received over a radio and - used for blackening of surfaces of a suitably sensitive paper, which was mounted on a rotating drum - by means of an electrochemical process. The drum (or other models of the stylus ) is moved by means of a screw, so that the image is written line by line on the paper.

It was invented by Otto Fultograph the Fulton system was used from 1926 to about 1928 in Germany, in order, for example, to broadcast on the radio in the transmission breaks complementary pictures to news broadcasts or weather maps. However, due to the high cost and low value in use, the system could not prevail, and the experimental programs have been discontinued.
