Fun (Band)

Fun. (also FUN. ) is an American indie pop band from New York.

History

The band was previously founded in August 2008 by Nate Ruess, part of the group The Format, Andrew Dost of Anathallo and Jack Antonoff of Steel Train. The debut album Aim and Ignite was with producer Steven McDonald and arranger Roger Joseph Manning Jr., the former keyboardist of Jellyfish, recorded in August 2008.

In February 2010, the band joined forces with Vedera as a supporting act of Jack 's Mannequin at the tour on. Two months later were fun. the opening act on by Paramore. In the same year, the online travel agency Expedia used the single Walking the Dog for a television commercial.

Early 2012 managed her single We Are Young by the use of the song in the U.S. series Glee and Gossip Girl No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts. Internationally, the single could achieve high chart positions, so among other things, number one in Britain and number four in Germany.

Published in June 2012 follow-up single Some Nights became a top five hit, including the U.S. and the UK. At the Grammy Awards in 2013 were fun. awarded the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, while the single We Are Young Title of the Year ( "Song of the Year" ) was chosen.
