Funimation

Funimation, also known as Funimation Productions, Funimation Entertainment and FUNimation, is an American film production company.

History

Funimation was founded in 1994 by Gen Fukunaga and his wife, on 11 May 2005 it became a subsidiary of the Navarre Corporation. In April 2011 Navarre Funimation was sold to a group of investors including Gen Fukunaga for $ 24 million dollars. Funimation is a portmanteau of the English words fun ( fun ) and animation.
