Fuping County, Hebei

The circle Fuping (Chinese阜平 县, Pinyin Fuping Xiàn ) belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Baoding in Hebei province. It has an area of 2,491 km ² and has about 210,000 inhabitants ( 2004). Its main town is the large village Fuping阜平 镇.

History

The site of the border region government and the military headquarters of the Shanxi - Chahar - Hebei Border Region ( Jin -Cha- Ji bianqu ) (晋察冀 边区 政府 及 军区 司令部 旧址Jinchaji bianqu Zhengfu ji junqu silingbu Jiuzhi ) from the Second Japanese - Chinese war since 1996 is on the list of monuments of the people's Republic of China ( 4-238 ).

In the large village Chengnanzhuang (城 南庄镇) is the Shanxi - Chahar - Hebei Border Region Memorial Hall.
