Furl

Furl ( from English- Frame Uniform Resource Locators) was founded in 2003, free English-language web application for social bookmarks, which was counted for Web 2.0. The operation of the service was discontinued on April 17, 2009.

Furl belonged to the party of social bookmarks, which made it possible to save complete copies of certain web pages personalized archives.

After registering at Furl a bookmarklet could be integrated into the web browser, so the called just in the browser page can be copied completely by mouse click in a personal Furl archive. For this archive each Furl users were 5 GB of disk space available. Recorded sites were not changed as well with a change of the original page, so that only the page in state at time of recording was available. Furl passed into Diigo, which has more options and is especially suitable for research and Find.
