Reddish Fettschwanzmakis reach a body length 22-26 cm and a tail length of 21-27 centimeters. The weight is 250 to 500 grams and is probably subjected to seasonal fluctuations. Their fur is reddish - brown on the back, the underside is light gray. The head is rounded, the eyes are surrounded by striking black rings around the eyes, the ears are inside and outside covered with dark fur.
