Fürstein

Steep western flank of Wasserfallenegg

The Fürstein is a mountain on the cantonal border of the Swiss cantons of Lucerne and Obwalden. With its 2,040 m altitude, it is the highest peak around the Glaubenbergpass around and a popular hiking and skiing destination. Alternatively, it can also be reached from Fluhli.

The two minor peaks Fürstein South Summit ( 1'994 m) and chli Fürstein ( 1,900 m) close to the south of a round ( 1,950 m) high at the saddle. The west and north sides of the grass mountain rocky and steep fall from around 200 meters, the eastern and southern slopes are less steep. South-east lie on ( 1,689 m) altitude, the Sewenseeli, something about the Alp and Chapel Upper Sewen. To the east of the ridge merges into the Wissguber ( 1'941 m).
