Furuno Electric Co., Ltd.. , Is a Japanese manufacturer of electronic equipment for ships ( so-called marine electronics ), in particular sound, radar, radio and now also GPS devices.

Company is based in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture; Founded in 1948, IPO in 1982, approximately 1,200 employees. Meanwhile one has diversified in business areas such as medicine and land surveying.

Since 2005, Furuno is also represented in Germany itself, before the Furuno units were sold through Ferro pilot.
