Fusajiro Yamauchi
Yamauchi Fusajiro (Japanese山 内 房 治郎; born November 22, 1859 † January 1940 ) was a Japanese entrepreneur and founder of the company Nintendo.
Life
Yamauchi started the company Nintendo Koppai in 1889. It produced at first traditional Japanese card games. The cards were known as Hanafuda. In 1929 he gave up his business to Sekiryō Kaneda. Yamauchi lived in Kyoto and has a daughter, Tei Yamauchi, who later married and Kaneda Sekiryō the successor Yamauchi was.
Fusajiro was the great-grandfather of Nintendo Hiroshi Yamauchi President, who sat at the head of the company until 2002.
