Fußball-Bezirksliga
The Bezirksoberliga, district league or district class is in most German sports federations the name Stablity the bottom of the German league system regional leagues. Host of the game class is regularly responsible for the area of several neighboring districts and free cities to the national sports federation subordinate state or district association. Often there is only one of the three league titles in the area of an association. Where several of these division names co-exist, the Bezirksoberliga usually is the higher division while the district class is mostly located in the lower league system.
Hockey
In ice hockey league system in Germany, there are district leagues in Bavaria, North Rhine -Westphalia, Rhineland -Palatinate and Baden- Württemberg where they respectively form the sixth and lowest division.
Football
Until 1933 the district was in class most of the German regional associations, the highest German league for football before it was replaced by the Gauliga as the highest league and second division level.
After the Second World War, the district league in football league system in Germany to 1978 was usually the fifth- highest division, located for example in the area of the Westphalian state association below the Bundesliga, Bundesliga 2, the association league and the national league one hand, and above the county league on the other. Due to numerous reforms of the league system, both at the level of the DFB as well as at the level of the DFB affiliated regional and state associations, the district league is located today, depending on state association between the seventh and the eighth game class level.
