Futakuchi-onna

The Futakuchi - onna (Japanese二 口 女, literally " two- mouth woman " ) is a fictional character from the Japanese folk belief. It belongs to the group of Yōkai and is considered malignant. Your are closest to the rokurokubi and Kuchisake - onna.

Description

The Futakuchi - onna appears as a woman with long, black hair, snake-like moves and hides a second mouth under its density at the back of the woman. The woman herself falls first on the fact that she eats better than ever, but her hair forms into two or more black snakes, snapping at the served meal and feed the otherwise hidden second mouth. Another feature is the second mouth itself (the actual demon) who continuously are obscene murmur of himself and loudly calls for food. If his demands ignored, the second mouth is deafening and shrill cries of himself and tortures the woman until he gets what he wants.

Traditions

One popular legend has created a Futakuchi - onna, when a bad mother (usually a wicked stepmother ) starves her stepchild and on the other hand petted her biological child. The starving child curses his stepmother before it dies. Or the vengeful spirit of the child takes possession of the stepmother and forces them only to feed their second mouth until it is self- starved. According to another tradition, it is a woman who is so obsessed with the desire to remain forever slim that you grow a demonic second mouth. Another version tells of a woodcutter who injured his affectionate woman accidentally with his hatchet on the back of the head, after which the wound is not healed, but turned into a second mouth.
