Futsal in Spain

Futsal (Spanish: fútbol sala ), a variant of indoor soccer, is a popular widths and spectator sport in Spain. At club level since 1989, a separate professional league, the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala ( LNFS ) operated. The top division, called Liga de Honor, consists of 16 teams. The championship is considered the world's strongest futsal sport. The Spanish National Team Futsal is governed by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and is a total of six titles at the UEFA European Futsal Championship, and two successes at the FIFA Futsal World Championship, one of the most successful.

History

Originally from South America Futsal sport began in 1972 in Spain to gain a foothold, as the Young Men's Christian Association ( YMCA ) began to operate it in the country. Shortly thereafter, dedicated two popular journalist, namely Juan Manuel Gozalo and José María García, for the sport and founded two clubs: Unión Sports and Interviu / Hora 25, the latter became the most successful club in Spain and Europe over time. The most important step to the rise of Futsal you took, however, in the summer of 1989, when the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala ( LNFS ) was launched. The hitherto poorly organized sports was the first time a unified and professionalized structure, and a national league. Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala ( LNFS )

The Spanish professional league Liga Nacional de Fútbol Sala was launched in 1989 to life. Futsal World Cup

The winner of the UEFA Futsal Cup meets since 2004, under the auspices of FIFA, the FIFA Futsal World Cup, among others to the strongest representatives from South America, as well as teams from Japan and the United States.
