Future Crew

Future Crew was a group of the demoscene.

The Finnish demo group Future Crew was long considered one of the best demo groups at all and was especially one of the first groups to (later) worked exclusively on the IBM PC, although in the late 1980s, the PC with its capabilities still far behind the then dominant Amiga lagged. They were thus one of the pioneers of multimedia using the PC platform, visible through the support they got from sound and graphics hardware vendors (including Gravis with the then very advanced Ultrasound sound card).

History

The group was originally Sami Tammilehto (PSI), founded in 1986 as a Commodore 64 group in 1988 but rose all the way around to the PC.

Nectarine Records, a small indie studio, published in 2011 an album with the most popular songs of the Future Crew in 24-bit remastered as a tribute to this. The album called "Metropolis" is available as a free download on the Internet.
