Teke Fuumu (also Kiteke, South-Central Teke, Teke you pool) is a Bantu language and is spoken by about 8,150 people in the Republic of Congo.
It is distributed in the Pool region.
Classification
Teke Fuumu forms with the languages Ngungwel, Tchitchege, Teke, Teke - Eboo, Teke - Kukuya, Teke - Laali, Teke - Nzikou, Teke - Tege, Teke - Tsaayi, Teke - Tyee Yaka and the Teke group. After the classification of Malcolm Guthrie Teke Fuumu belongs to the Guthrie - area B70.
Teke Fuumu has the dialects Fuumu (also Ifuumu and Mfumu ) and Wuumu (also Iwuumu and Wumbu ). Fuumu is spoken north of Brazzaville, Wuumu north and northeast of the river Lefini.
