FV Illertissen

The FV Illertissen is a football club from the city of Illertissen in Bavaria. Although the club is based in Bavaria, he was one because of its border location until the 2011/12 season at the Württemberg Football Association. For the 2012/13 season the club moved voluntarily by the Bavarian Association.

History

The FV Illertissen was founded in 1921. 1963 was the club against SV Hussenhofen, the first Bavarian team, the WFV Cup win. After one could occupy the third place in the regional league Württemberg in the 2007/ 08 season, handed in a 4-2 win over the relegation Kehler FV and a 1:2 against Amicitia Four home for first-time promotion to the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg. As part of the Regional reform and the change in the Bavarian association of FV Illertissen managed by a 4th place promotion to the new Regionalliga Bayern for the season 2012/13. In the very first Regional game time, the FVI participation in the DFB Cup has secured 2013/14 as the best Bavarian amateur team. There, however, the Illertissen lost in the first round against Eintracht Frankfurt 0-2.

A special rivalry with SpVgg Au / Iller, which is located in the homonymous district Illertisser. Once you have competed a few years together in the fifth division, managed two teams in 2008, the rise in the league.

The FV Illertissen plays its home games at Vöhlin Stadium, within the sports center Illertissen. The stadium has 3,000 seats, of which about 600 seats. The stadium is named after the patrician family of Vöhlin that prevailed for several centuries in and about Illertissen.
