Fwayo Tembo

Fwayo Tembo ( born May 2, 1989 in Lusaka, Zambia ) is a Zambian football player. He's since the summer of 2012 at Astra Giurgiu in Romanian League 1 under contract.

Career

Tembo has grown up in the Shantytown Mtendendere (part of the capital, Lusaka ), where he played in the neighborhood association Edusport Lusaka football. In January 2006 he signed for FC National Assembly in Lusaka. The end of 2007 he left Zambia and joined Étoile Sportive du Sahel in the Tunisian Football Championship.

29 May 2010 Tembo signed for FC Basel, where he plays in the first team squad for the 2010/11 season. His preferred position is in the storm, but his coach Thorsten Fink puts him mostly in the midfield a. On 20 July 2010 he made his debut at the St. Jakob - Park in a 3-2 home win against FC Zurich. His first goal he scored in the 1:4 home defeat against FC Lucerne on 14 August 2010 and his first penalty he utilized at the Stade de Suisse 10 April 2011 in a 3-3 draw against BSC Young Boys. In the season 2010/2011 Fwayo Tembo was Swiss champion with FC Basel.

His former club Étoile Sportive du Sahel was in January, 2012 that Fwayo Tembo will return on loan for a year after Tunisia. After his return to Basel he was transferred in the summer of 2012 Astra Giurgiu in Romania.
