Fyrisån is a river in Sweden and the longest river in the historic province of Uppland. He has a total length of 80 kilometers and ends five miles south of Uppsala, through which it flows also into the lake Mälaren.
In Uppsala is on April 30 ( swedish Sista april or Valborgsmässoafton, short Valborg ) on the river by the students of the University of Uppsala organized a race with self-built boats ( forsränningen ).
