G. Schneider & Sohn
The Weisses Brauhaus G. Schneider & Sohn GmbH is a Bavarian brewery based in Kelheim, which specializes in the production of wheat beer. Its core product is TAP 7 Our original (formerly Schneider Weisse Original Language), which is brewed according to the original recipe from 1872. With the renaming of the range 2009 other products should move more into the foreground, which is why the best-selling product now TAP 7 preceded. The company founder Georg Schneider I was the first commoner to which the privilege was given by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, to be able to brew wheat beer. In addition, is from the Aventinus Aventinus Wheat Eisbock the brandy, a wheat beer brand with 42%, is produced.
The brewery currently employs approximately 100 people and distributes its products in Germany and 27 other countries. The annual output is about 300,000 hectoliters (2008).
The brewery is a founding member of the initiative The Free Brauer, an association of more than 30 medium-sized private breweries in Germany and Austria.
