G3 (tour)

The concert series G3 followed by an idea of the rock guitarist Joe Satriani the concept: three guitarists play their own songs and then three cover songs together. So far, one of the cover songs was a song by Jimi Hendrix, for example, Foxy Lady, Red House or Voodoo Child ( Slight Return ), respectively.

1996

In October 1996, toured with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson ( plus Kenny Wayne Shepherd at the first shows) by the United States. 1997

This year, the tour was extended to Europe. While Joe Satriani in Europe touring with Steve Vai and Adrian Legg were in North America, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Robert Fripp in the company.

Steve Vai played with the same musicians as in 1996. Kenny Wayne Shepherd was the only of the three Noah Hunt on vocals accompanied by further Jimmy Wallace (keyboards), Joe Nadeau (guitar), Sam Bryant (drums) and Robby Emerson ( bass ).

1998

The '98 tour was held with Satriani, Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth only in Europe. Special guests this time were Brian May in London and Patrick Rondat in France. At the concert in Hamburg played Satriani, Vai, and Adrian Legg, who did not participate in the final jam.

The original lineup from 1996 again joined together for a special show on October 21 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as part of the Rhythm of Asia Festival.

2001
