Gábor Hatos

Gábor hatos ( born October 3, 1983 in Eger) is a Hungarian wrestler. He won previously at the World and European Championships, five medals in free style.

Career

Gábor hatos began as a teenager in 1995 in his hometown with the rings. He belongs to the Sports Club Halades VS Eger and is trained by Istvan Gulyas and Istvan Vereb. He prefers the free style. The stocky, black-haired and only 1.68 meters tall athlete because of his uncompromising ring way the nickname " Pitbull ". He started at the beginning of his career at lightweight and welterweight since 2004. His profession is currently Ringer. That's why he started so far for the Swiss club RR HERGISWIL, the KSV Aalen and the SV Untergriesbach. In the 2012/13 season he has been active now for the SV Wacker Burghausen. Since the 2013/14 season again he wrestles for TUS Adelhausen. He is a five-time Hungarian champion in the welterweight ( free style ).

The international career of Gábor hatos began in 1998 with the participation in the World Youth Championship ( Cadets ) in Manchester. He started there in the weight category up to 69 kg and reached the 14th place. In the following years he started at junior level nor at six other international championships. A medal he won it only at the Junior World Championship 2003 in Istanbul. This, he won there in the welterweight with a victory in the consolation round of Soslan Gattsijew from Belarus, after he had lost there won four fights in the semi-final against Misam Amini from Iran.

In the senior he started already in 2001 in Budapest for the first time at an international championship (European Championship). He won there at lightweight in his first fight on the British Nathanael Ackerman, but was defeated in his next fight the experienced Irbek Valentinovich Farnijew from Russia, with which he retired and came in 14th place. In the following years he took then regularly in the European Championships and the World Championships in part and he also launched at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Good placings remained to him but denied this. Quite surprisingly, he won a bronze medal in the welterweight division at the 2006 European Championship in Moscow. Towards this medal he defeated Fahrettin Özata, Turkey and Salvatore Rinella, Italy, then he lost to Ruslan Kokajew, Russia and defeated Anis Gharbi from France.

It then took until 2010 before he won his next medal. He finished 3rd at the World Championships this year in Moscow. He defeated Butahan Demircin, Turkey, Alexander Motyl, Belarus and Kiril Tersijew, Bulgaria, losing to Denis Zargusch from Russia and Else won over Krystian Brzozowski of Poland. 2011 and 2012 won Gábor hatos at the European Championships in Dortmund and Belgrade two more medals, namely respectively the bronze. In Dortmund he defeated Philipp thereby Crepaz, Austria, losing to Denis Zargusch and won against Lampi Luca from Italy and Agil Guliyev from Azerbaijan. In Belgrade he won 3rd place behind Denis Zargusch and Dawit Chutischwili, Georgia and before Alexander Gozijew, Azerbaijan and Oleg Bilozerkowski from Ukraine.

In 2012 Gábor hatos qualified by a 2nd place in the tournament in Taiyuan / China for the subscriber at the Olympic Games in London. There he came to victories over Chongyao Zhang from China and Abdulhakim Schapijew from Kazakhstan. After a defeat against Sadegh Saeed Goudarzi of Iran, he then had the chance by a victory over Soslan Tigijew from Uzbekistan to win a bronze medal in the repechage. He lost that fight but just for points and so finished 5th. Since the latter, however, was disqualified for doping, he was awarded the bronze medal.
