Gabriel Bibron

Gabriel Bibron ( born October 20, 1805 in Paris, † March 27, 1848 in Saint -Alban- les -Eaux, Loire ) was a French zoologist.

Life and work

In the years 1827 to 1833, during the Greek Revolution, was Gabriel Bibron participants in the French scientific expedition to the Peloponnese landscape Morea in Greece. He worked at the Muséum national d' histoire naturelle and classified together with André Marie Constant Duméril a large number of reptiles. Bibron died in Saint -Alban tuberculosis.
