Gabriela Montero

Gabriela Montero ( born May 10, 1970 in Caracas, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan concert pianist.

Life

Your first public appearance was at the age of five years. Your concert debut as an eight- year-old with the Sinfónica de la Juventud Venezolana Simón Bolívar led by José Antonio Abreu and was awarded a government scholarship to study in the U.S.. She led her studies at Lyl Tiempo, Andrez Esterhazy and Professor Hamish Milne at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She drew international attention for the first time by the third place at the 13th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 1995. Gabriela Montero is a mother of two daughters and lives near Boston.

Improvisation
