Gabriele Günz

Gabriele Günz (born Niebling, born September 8, 1961 in Eisenach ) is a former German high jumper who competed for the German Democratic Republic.

Life

In the Indoor Athletics European Championships she won in 1986 in Madrid and silver in 1988 in Budapest sixth.

In 1988, she was DDR Champion, 1985 and 1987 runner-up. In the hall she won in 1985, 1988 and 1989, the East German titles and in 1986 became Vice-Champion.

Gabriele Günz competed for the SC DHfK Leipzig. In the becoming public knowledge after the fall of documents to the state doping in the GDR was found in the doped athletes also the name of Günz.
