Gabriella Pescucci

Gabriella Pescucci ( born 1941 or 1943 in Rosignano Solvay ) is an Italian costume designer. Pescucci was previously nominated in their careers three times for an Academy Award for "Best Costume Design", 1994, she got it for The Age of Innocence.

Life and work

Pescucci received her training at the Istituto Statale d' Arte di Firenze and at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. After completing Pescucci worked as an assistant for Pierluigi Pizzi, Ezio Frigerio and Piero Tosi in Rome. Since the late 1960s Pescucci has worked for film and television, but also works for theater performances. So she designed the costumes for Luca Ronconi, among other staging of Il Trovatore at the Bavarian State Opera in 1992.
