Gabrielle Aplin
Gabrielle Ann Aplin (born 10 October 1992 in Bath) is a British singer- songwriter.
Career
Aplin began her musical career on the video platform YouTube. A 2008 published cover of My Heart the band Paramore was clicked by almost 200,000 visitors, a version of The Liar and the Lighter - originally performed by You Me at Six - reached until November 2012, more than 630,000 clicks. The song took them for their first EP, which was released in September 2010 under the title Acoustic, new to. More EPs released in May 2011 and January 2012.
End of February 2012, she announced on her Facebook page that she had signed a recording contract with Parlophone Records. In March 2012, she began work on her debut album English Rain, released in May 2013.
For the Christmas advert for the department store chain John Lewis took her on a cover version of the song The Power of Love by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. You already appeared in November and spent three weeks in the top 10 before they debuted at # 1 in the first week of Advent.
