Gai Assulin (Hebrew גיא אסולין; born April 9, 1991 Nahariya ) is an Israeli football player. He also has a Spanish passport due to its long residence time in Spain. The attacking midfielder is the youngest player ever to play for the Israeli national team.

Association

Gai Assulin started his career in the youth of Beitar Nes Tubruk. At the age of twelve, he got an offer from FC Barcelona. He then moved with his family to Barcelona. In 2008, he was also approached by Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea FC. In August 2007, he joined the FC Barcelona B team and also signed a professional contract for three more years with a 20 - million - euro - exit - sale clause. Assulin opted for the Israeli national football team, but only under the condition that he does not have to undergo compulsory military service in the Israeli military. On 26 March 2008 Assulin was 16 years old his debut in the Israeli A- team against Chile. It remained to this day his single game.
