Gail Emms

Gail Elizabeth Emms MBE ( born July 23, 1977 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England) is a British badminton player. Your greatest achievements came as a double player.

Career

Emms began at the age of four years with badminton. Since 1995 she is a member of the British National Team. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester she won with her partner Joanne Goode a bronze medal in women's doubles. With the England team, she won the gold medal in the mixed team competition. In the English Badminton Championships, she won three times in the title in the mixed doubles and two in women's doubles.

Her most successful year was 2004. She was first at the European Championships in Geneva with her partner Nathan Robertson in the mixed doubles for the first time in her career European champion. With Robertson at her side she struggled at the Olympic Games in Athens in the mixed doubles to the finals before, but there was defeated in three sets almost double the Chinese Zhang Jun and Gao Ling same year, the pair also won the Mixed with the Thailand Open.
